Soprano from Washington DC, Maya McGuire is pursuing a Master of Music in Vocal Arts at The Juilliard School.

This summer, McGuire was the principal soloist in NYC Ballet’s Midsummer Night's Dream by Mendelssohn. McGuire has performed the role of Susanna in Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro (CCM Opera 2024) and covered the roles of Dido in Melinda Wagner’s Dido Reimagined (Juilliard Opera 2026), Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady (Opera Saratoga 2026), and Cherubino in Le Nozze di Figaro (Sarasota Opera 2025).

At Juilliard, she has performed in numerous recitals including Fall Festival, Liederabends, Pride Songbook, and represented Juilliard at the Royal Irish Academy of Music in Dublin, Ireland. McGuire has won national competitions, including the Schmidt Undergraduate Vocal Competition (2024, 2022), and the NSAL Shirley Rabb Winston DC Competition (2023).  She has participated in Houston Grand Opera’s YAVA, Nashville Bel Canto Opera Scenes Intensive, and Curtis Summerfest, and is proud to be a Gluck Community Service Fellowship Leader and a member of Denyce Graves’ Shared Voices Cohort.

As an arts advocate, McGuire directs an International Women’s Day recital, raising over $10,000 for women’s charities.
